Miguel Lara

Solo dancer

Born in Alcalá de Henares in 1983. At the age of seven he began his studies of Spanish Dance with Nicolás Rocha and continued his training at the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma, participating in workshops such as: “A la Luz” by Elvira Andrés”, “Sombrero de tres Picos” by Jose Antonio, “Homenaje a Madrid” by Mariemma and “Pati Pami” by Adrián Galia and Beatriz Martín, among others.

In 1999-2000 he received a scholarship from the American Academy of Ballet in New York. In 2002, he again obtained another scholarship, this time in the workshop of the Compañía Andaluza de Danza, directed by Jose Antonio. He received classes and intensive courses of contemporary and character with Sonje Mayo, Steve Rooks, Rosangela Silvestre and Ruth Spivak. In his professional career he has worked with the following companies: Luisillo, Antonio Canales in the show Tiempo 2000, Victor Ullate with the ballet Giselle, Ibérica de Danza, Ballet de TVE1 and Antena 3 TV, Rafael Amargo, Musical Don Juan directed by Miguel Angel Rojas and Carlos Rodriguez and Rafael Aguilar.

Since 2004 she is part of the Antonio Gades Company, playing soloist roles in Carmen, Fuenteovejuna, Bodas de Sangre and Suite Flamenca and Movimientos, la danza de la punta al tacón.
