Featured artists from PASOS’s first edition:

Eduardo Vallejo

A choreographer, producer, and teacher of the Madrid-based company Ogmia, his residency focused on the project “Replicant”, drawing from existentialist and transhumanist philosophical currents while incorporating aesthetic influences from 1980s and 1990s cinematic archives, referencing films such as Ghost in the Shell and Blade Runner. In 2022, he premiered his third creation at the 37th Madrid en Danza International Festival and was selected for the Tanzplattform Bern 2023. That same year, he presented his work at the Quinzena de Dança de Almada – International Dance Festival. His fourth creation, Glass House, premiered at the Xixón International Dance Festival 2023.

Ogmia and Eduardo Vallejo have been invited to festivals and theaters such as Madrid en Danza International Festival, Xixón International Dance Festival, TANZ Theatre International Hannover, MASDANZA, Festiwal Teatr i Tanca Zawirowania, Gdansk Dance Festival, Danza en la Villa, Festival Abril en Danza, and Traslación. His works have toured in Spain, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, and Switzerland.

Julia Cano Ordás

A performer and young choreographer, she studied at the Professional Dance Conservatory of Murcia and later pursued a Higher Degree in Dance at the María de Ávila Superior Dance Conservatory in Madrid. Her project, “Hope is the Last Thing to Die,” is a contemporary dance solo that invites the audience to journey through different stages of frustration, disappointment, and exhaustion in the face of lost hope, using the visual language of dance and the body. She has been awarded First Prize in the VIII Tiempo de Danza de Murcia Award (Classical Dance Category, 2016) and the Extraordinary Prize for Professional Artistic Studies in the Region of Murcia (2017).

Marina López de Diego

A performer and young choreographer, she graduated in 2023 with the Extraordinary End-of-Degree Award in Contemporary Dance from the Mariemma Royal Professional Dance Conservatory (Madrid). Her project, “Tell Me If That’s Enough,” is a contemporary dance piece exploring the internalization of external messages—ranging from expectations to beliefs—through constant production. She has presented her own projects in contexts such as the One More Night to Show competition (Descalzinhadanza, Madrid), Tierras en Danza Festival (Cáceres), the Sabadell Choreographic Competition, the SOLO IMPROVISA Competition (Sala Cuarta Pared, Madrid), and Me, Myself & I, part of the Madrid Choreographic Competition.

Paula Rodríguez Blanco

A dance performer and creator at Cía Joven La Colé in Madrid, her choreographic research project “D1iim3nsi0ns” stems from perceiving the body through a mathematical vocabulary. La Colé is an artistic research project with a training-creative approach, serving as a platform for scenic creation that connects young women with established choreographers from the national scene and the Madrid theater landscape. Within the company, she has worked with artists such as Janet Novás, Verónica Garzón, Begoña Quiñones, and Paula Quintana, who have created works and processes for La Colé, showcased annually at the Madrid Choreographic Competition and other artistic and social settings.
