Born in Paris, France, where he studied at the University of Technology and Electronics. He began his professional career in 1970 at the Théâtre des Quartiers d'Ivry and in 1980 he became the Director of Electricity and Illuminator at the Théâtre de Paris.
He participated in the edition of works such as Pena de corazón de una gata inglesa and La huida en china de Alfredo Arias, Bent by Sherman Martin, L´Alouette by Jean Anouilh, and theater classics such as Molière, Une journée particulière by Ettore Scola, Vue du pont by Arthur Miller with Ralf Vallone. He collaborated with the German company Das Berliner Ensemble en Klein Principe (The Little Prince by Saint-Exupéry), Cercle de craie and Galileo by Bertolt Brecht. And different masterpieces such as Bread and Puppets, Cuadra de Sevilla (La casa de Bernarda Alba) and Los comediantes del mar.
Since 1981, he has toured internationally with important dancers such as Lindsay Kemp Notre dame des fleurs by Jean Genet, Carolyn Carlson, Trisha Brown, Shankai Juku, Carlota Ikeda from the Ariadone Company and the Ballet de Lorraine.
In 1983 he began his professional relationship with Antonio Gades, participating in the staging, adaptation to the theater and creation of Carmen at the Théâtre de Paris and continuing with the ballets Fuego, Fuentovejuna (1994) at the Carlo Felice in Genova, continuing this collaboration until 1999, year in which the Antonio Gades Company is dissolved.
From 2000 to 2006 he collaborated with different flamenco companies Cristina Hoyos Company with Tierra adentro at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, Maria Pages Company (Songs before a war and Seville), Antonio Marques Company (After Carmen). He also participated in different productions with artists such as Rafael Amargo, Adrián Galia, Andrés Marin, Carmen Cortes.
After the homage to Antonio Gades at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in 2006, when he returned to the renovated Antonio Gades Dance Company as Technical Director and illuminator.
